Our dual-designed program provides young and adult learners access to vocational training and supportive support in a variety of specified fields. We partner with local organizations, trade associations, and educational institutions to facilitate entry-level vocational training, workforce development support, and continuing education and operational support for new, small and emerging businesses.
Entry-level industry career training is FREE! Program fees associated with advanced certifications, workshops, tuition, or admission requirements may be subsidized through third-party entities or scholarships and grants provided by Beyond The Hard Hat.
The entry-level career training program will prepare learners for careers in general and industrial construction. Flexible learning options will begin with pathways through craft laborer and advance to specialized skilled training including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Program participants must be at least 18 years old or a senior enrolled in high school or transition program to participate in entry-level career training programs. Most programs do not require a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Yes! We provide transportation, childcare and internet access assistance to reduce barriers for qualified participants.
In general, program participants are not required to pass a background check to participate in career-training programs; however, individuals must pass a drug screening.
Vocational training programs will vary based on the facilitator of the program. Programs may be completed in as short as 30 days, while other programs may be completed in 6 months or longer.
